About Start Small Dream Big

Initiated by ECDA, the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Movement aims to nurture positive values and social-emotional development in preschoolers through meaningful community service projects. Together with parents and community partners, participating preschools design and implement initiatives that provide children with hands-on opportunities to put values into action. SSDB champions Values-in-Action for preschoolers, aligned with service-learning pedagogy and thoughtfully adapted for young children. Through real-life experiences, children are encouraged to live out the values of kindness, empathy, and responsibility alongside their preschools, families, and community partners.

Today, more than 100,000 children from over 1,400 preschools participate in Start Small Dream Big. Because we believe that children are never too young to contribute to the community - and while no one can do everything, everyone can do something.
